Medicine ball was a rather poor Fox TV challenge to ER and Chicago Hope. It was filmed at the Sand Point Naval Base hangar in Seattle. I was the on-staff weldor, tool room manager, a carpenter and a special FX technician. 8 episodes were shot and aired.

Most of these shots are of the elevator I built to match the real elevator at the Pacific Medical Center. The PMC was being used for location shooting for the outside and the lobby. The elevators had to match so actors could go in one and out the other. I used real elevator parts for the doors and panels.

Pacific Medical Center was sold 2 years later to Amazon.com. It is their corporate headquarters.

The scrub sink was copied from a real one at Virginia Mason Hospital, in Seattle. I photographed and measured the real one in the Intensive Care Unit.

I also had to make overhead trusses to support the tracks for the operating room lights.

The male lead of the show was Vincent Ventresca, who later did several sci-fi series including Prey and The Invisible Man.
