A "weld positioner" is used to rotate parts while you weld them.

They cost thousands of dollars to buy so I built one from pieces I had gathered from Boeing Surplus.

It could tilt from vertical to horizontal and could use a flat table or a lathe chuck.

I later placed it on a hydraulic lift cart to make it more useful.

It has saved me many times.
