Nordstrom was doing a store display mock-up in a warehouse and I was contracted to figure out how to make a bundle of TVs look like they were hanging from a large crane.
We built a freestanding steel hoist structure with a cable winch. We used some 1-1/4" rope and a large wooden rope block to fake the crane block, and used 2" nylon webbing to fake the cargo sling.
As far as I know they used it in a window somewhere.
